Owner Ryan Licon didn’t invent Ugly Boy Skates—he embodies it. The name came from a moment at a skate park when he was just a kid, sitting alone with a board, getting called “that ugly boy.” It stuck through everything: skating, spiraling, addiction, incarceration, and ultimately recovery...
